France, Allier, Auvergne, Arfeuilles
In augustus, we spent a one-week holiday at La Goutte Bruyere in Arfeuilles, Auvergne in the center of France.
The cottage is simply furnished but well equipped. The view from the garden is great and the peace and quietness are overwhelming. The area with the mountains of Bourbonnais, the Cascade de la PISSEROTTE and the beautiful town of Vichy are a must to visit. One should keep in mind that the restaurants, if any, work by appointment. In Arfeuilles there is a bakery. For other groceries you need to go to Lapalisse one can immediately visit the Chateau de La Palice and the flea-market. It is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places in France where I've ever been.
